Simon Helbling began his directing career at the theatre, shooting his first short film "Retour" in 2010. Today, he also directs films, music videos, and commercials.
The Pressure Game In the six-part series "The Pressure Game – In the Heart of the Swiss National Team", Helbling portrays the footballers of the Swiss national team. The narrative focuses on the protagonists and their personal stories.
As of March 2022, the director has been present at every move together and every trip. Filming lasted until the end of December 2022 and is the largest docuseries ever produced in Switzerland to date. It was commissioned by the Swiss Radio and Television Company SRG SSR, first broadcast in 2023 on Play Suisse.
