In 2021, she was commissioned to direct a 4-part series based on the novel ‘The Girl Before’ by JP Delaney (BBC One, HBO). She is currently working on her next feature film (working title: ‘Sisters’).

Halle, 2023: A clash between various youth groups and the police escalates on the market square. It ends in looting, arrests and one badly injured person. This day changes the lives of a handful of environmental activists around 17-year-old Luise and is the trigger for their political radicalization. On the other side is Luise’s mother Catrin, chief inspector at the House of Youth Law. While they are confronted with the double standards of their parents, the young people repeatedly ask themselves the question: what kind of world do I want to live in and how far am I willing to go for it?
