Halloween Edition Pitch October 31, 2025

Serienfestival Basel invites up-and-coming talents from film schools in Switzerland, Germany and France to take part in a unique student pitching competition dedicated to original series ideas – both fiction and documentary series.
We are looking for bold and original series – docu-series by student creatives who are ready to shape the storytelling of tomorrow.

Special Note Projects with Swiss DNA are especially welcome!

Call for projects 1 August 2025
The deadline for submissions is September 10th, 2025
Finalists to be announced on 1 October 2025
Pitching Day 31 October 2025

For Submission Materials needed

Each team has up to 8 minutes to present:
Logline, Main Characters, Central Conflict, Series
Universe, story arcs, tone and target group,
AI-generated teaser (optionally up to 2 minutes) 

What the Finalists have on presenting the Stage

Short synopsis (up to 3 pages, PDF)
Pitch Deck (PDF, up to 12 pages)
AI-generated video teaser (optional up to 2 minutes)
Q&A teams Project budget and financial details
Language English | German

The finalists will pitch live at the Serienfestival Basel.

Contacts to producers possible, platform for a possible future or development of the series.
Prize money CHF 500 for the first place winners
